I wish I could draw better, but the general idea is there. :)
I'm just a science teacher sitting at my computer generating and finding ideas to make learning more enjoyable.

Plant Life Cycle Foldable
I created these inserts for a four fold window pane. My students will cut out the four pictures and glue them on the inside They will label the four tabs as "moss cycle", "fern cycle", "angiosperm cycle", and "gymnosperm cycle".

Motion Simulations
I found this website for some free online simulations that help explain motion, position, velocity, and acceleration in simple animation.

Position Activity
Here is a simple idea for students to practice accurate measurement and position with a reference point:
Front of the room is positive motion and back of the room is
negative motion
Materials:
Meter stick, cup, masking tape, coffee can, book, bell, rock
Procedure:
- Have students create a table with object versus position in centimeters. A piece of masking tape will be their reference point.
- Students will work with partner to complete the table by making accurate measurements which will include the correct sign.

Sales
I figured that if you are in the market for school supplies, there are two sales you need to be aware of:
Staples has a sale on whatever you can fit into your free, reusable bag is 20% off for this week only.
OfficeMax has a $5 off for every $25 spent on top of their sales on markers and binders.
Happy shopping!

Conclusion Hamburger
To help my students write thorough conclusions, I created the following document based on someone else's idea.
The link for it is here.

Science Notebooks
I am going to try an interactive notebook. This PowerPoint was created by a colleague and I adapted it to fit my class. We shall see how it goes!

Symbiotic Relationships Videos
I feel that Finding Nemo has so many applications to my life science class. I am going to show my students the following clips to help illustrate two of the relationships:
Commensalism
Mutualism
